Hi, I'm Mary. I read almost constantly, so I figured this would be a good community for me to join :) My favorite books of all time are
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith, Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux,  and, of course, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.   The last books I read that were really, really good were Pirates Latitudes by Michael Crichton, the Book of Mordred by Vivian Vande Velde, and the Chronicles of Faerie by O. R. Melling.  And also if anyone knows of any really good steampunk novels I would love to hear about them!

Haven't read very much but these are ones that come to mind that I have read and enjoyed...

Perdido Street Station by China Mieville
His Dark Materials Trilogy by Phillip Pullman
The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters by Gordon Dahlquist
The Court of the Air by Stephen Hunt
Yes, Perdido Street Station is what got me interested in the genre. The world that the author created was so creative! And the ending surprised me very much. Anyway, thank you for the recommendations :)
